Created by a group of Tunisian teachers, the Mutuelle Assurance de l’Enseignement (MAE) is a mutual insurance company that was created in June 1962 when MAIF ceased its activities in Tunisia. Since 2002, MAE has been accessible to all socio-professional categories of Tunisian society and has also extended its activities to all life and non-life insurance branches.
With more than 460,000 members, MAE is today the leader in motor insurance and ranks 6th in the Tunisian insurance market.
